Three-goal spurt does damage

Central yesterday lost their second game at the national under-21 hockey tournament at North Harbour.

They lost 5-0 to Midlands, whose line-up included former Campion College player Lewis Smith.

Midlands scored in the 13th minute but Central were still in with a chance until further goals in the 36th, 41st and 42nd minutes took the game away from them.

Midlands scored again in the 57th minute, three minutes from time.

Former Gisborne players Lachlan Vause and James Torrie are in the Central squad.

Today Central were to play North Harbour.
