Gisborne teenager Kelsey Teneti is a bootstep closer to a Black Ferns dream.

Having already been contracted to the New Zealand women's sevens teams, the 19-year-old has been brought into the Black Ferns 15s squad for the Pacific Four Series in June.

Tauranga-based Teneti is one of three changes to the Ferns squad due to injuries.

A member of the Waikato squad for the Farah Palmer Cup, Teneti is the eighth potential debutant in a squad that includes East Coast/Gisborne-connected loose forward Kaipo Olsen-Barker and Gisborne's Renee Holmes

Experienced internationals Renee Wickliffe and Hazel Tubic have also been brought into the Ferns squad. They and Teneti replace Patricia Maliepo (concussion), Grace Steinmetz (foot) and Carla Hohepa (foot).

Auckland 18-year-old Sylvia Brunt has been called in as a travelling reserve to complete the 32-player squad.

The Pacific Fours features New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the United States.

The Black Ferns face Australia in Tauranga on June 6, Canada in Waitakere on June 12 and USA in Whangarei on June 18.
