SWIMMING
Gisborne Boys’ High School had their house swimming sports last week, with Tawhirimatea winning.
Tawhirimatea came second in the Year 10 division and first in the Year 9. Tane Mahuta were second, Tangaroa came third and Tumatauenga were fourth.
The event is compulsory for junior students, with a focus
on fun and participation. Novelty events such as bellyflops, bombing and underwater swimming were included in the competition.
The school managed to squeeze in the event at the end of summer after it was postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions.
