Prolific snooker title winner Wayne Tautau added another to his collection at the 2023 Gisborne Cossie Club grade championship.

Tautau topped a field of 12 players in the A-Grade champs.

Qualifying was played over three frames and the semifinalists were Tautau, George Munro, John Warren and Alex Nanai.

Tatau beat Munro 2-1 and Warren defeated Nanai by the same score.

Tautau went on to beat Warren 2-0 in the final.

Ten players entered the B-Grade champs and those to advance to the last four were Barry Cox, Victor Lane, Larry Robinson and Dave Duffy.

Lane ousted Cox 2-1 and Robinson eliminated Duffy 2-1.

Robinson emerged the champion with a 2-1 final defeat of Lane.

The three players in the C-Grade champs played a round-robin competition.

Kath McLatchie won with Tony Dobson second and Mary Kerekere third.

The next event is the President’s Trophy on Saturday, November 4.
