Luca Vita stamped his mark on Eastland Kart Club's third points meeting of the season.

He won all three races of the A Group — the club's fastest — and at the end of the meeting he finished at the head of a 12-strong field competing in a 12-lap feature.

Sunday's racing was of a high standard, and the club was fortunate to have Clare Ruston there with her camera to capture some of the action.

The juniors raced according to the old format, with a front, middle and back start. Nixen Gooch won all three races. His dad Sean must have put lead in his boots as he did not ease off at all.

Indigo McGuinness had three second placings and Pyper Irvine, three thirds. These young drivers are getting better all the time.

The rest of the drivers did timed laps to sort out which groups they would start in. That could change in each round, depending on whether their results take them up or down the groups.

Vita is the driver to beat in the A Group. He is the club's No.1 driver and had a clean sweep of three wins.

Second placings went to Alex Rosie, Seth Hall and Shand Barwick.

Thirds went to Shaun Barwick, Hamish Worsnop and Harley Davis.

In the B group, Dion Lund, Seth Hall and Daniel Taylor each had a win.

Hamish Worsnop, Mike Vita and Ben Adcock each had a second placing.

Thirds went to Tessa Irvine, Daniel Taylor and Dion Lund.

The C Group winners were Daniel Taylor, Kobi Matenga and Logan Irvine.

Second placings went to Lyn Lyle, Caleb Stichbury and Conrad Gooch, while thirds went to Conrad Gooch, Mark Vizi Toroa and Lyn Lyle.

The all-in feature race at the end of the meeting is always an action-packed highlight for drivers and spectators.

Behind winner Luca Vita were Seth Hall in second place, Luca's father Mike Vita, third, and Daniel Taylor, fourth.

Hall produced the fastest lap time of the day. His KT100 covered the distance in 19.015 seconds.
