The Swish Swaggers were the hottest netball team on the sand at Midway Beach this season.

“The Bayleys Beach Netball League had a few less entries, so we changed the format to pools, with a cross-over section and finals evening to avoid teams playing each other multiple times over the six weeks,” said Allisa Hall of Gisborne Netball Centre.

“Teams enjoyed it and we loved seeing lots of laughter out on the courts. It was great seeing new netball faces not usually part of the centre's winter season take part in these social leagues.

“Ash Maaka, from Let's Go, was a stand-out this year with the most three-point long bombs scored.”
