BADMINTON Eastland’s super veterans are in Hamilton this weekend for the final Division 2 round of their inter-association competition.
Going into the weekend, they were fifth in the standings and were to play Manawatu and Waikato, placed second and third respectively.
The Eastland team members are Kevin Lee and HelenMorley from Gisborne Badminton Club; Ron Prebble, Linda White and Ruth Ledger from Patutahi Badminton Club; Matheus Batlajeri, a loan player from Manawatu; and newcomer Maurice Smith from the Waikato association.
Sheree Gray and Annabel Riwaka were unavailable to travel this weekend.
