Stags unbeaten in four seasons

Ngatapa Stags have completed their fourth unbeaten rugby season in a row.

This year they competed in the Gisborne nipper club rugby under-10 grade.

They have achieved their run of four unbeaten seasons against skilled opposition, particularly OBM, YMP and, more recently, Pirates.

Through the initial ripper seasons and then under the tackle format, the Stags have grown into a team who build on individual player skills and wholehearted performances.

Under the guidance of coach Heith Hawea, they continue to provide great-spirited rugby that entertains their supporters, who are kept on edge knowing any game could be the end of the winning streak.

Next year the team will play full-field games and will have to lift their game yet again if they want to keep their record intact.
