Isaia in squad for world cupFORMER Gisborne Boys’ High School first XV captain Isaia Walker-Leawere has been named in the New Zealand team for the under-20 rugby world championships in England next month.
Walker-Leawere, now based in Wellington, was one of four locks named in the Junior Blacks team. His
utility skills mean he could also play at loose forward in the side.
New Zealand are the defending champions. They beat England 21-16 in the final last year.
The tournament is being held in Manchester next month. New Zealand face Georgia, Ireland and Wales in pool play.
