Patutahi (1) have the narrowest of leads after the first two rounds of the Oligoi Jug men’s interclub golf pennants.

Only two points separated the top five teams at the end of the rounds held at Tolaga Bay Golf Club on Saturday.

Patutahi (1) shared the honours 4-all with Tolaga Bay, then beat Patutahi (2) 7-1  to finish on 11 team points.

They are one ahead of Tolaga Bay, Te Puia Hot Springs and Poverty Bay, with defending champions Electrinet Park (1) fifth on nine points.

Rounds 3 and 4 are at Waikohu on April 27.

Results — Round 1: Electrinet Park (1) 4 Waikohu 4; Poverty Bay 4 Park (2) 4, Patutahi (1) 4 Tolaga Bay 4, Te Puia Hot Springs 8 Patutahi (2) 0.

Round 2: Park (1) 5 Park (2) 3, Patutahi (1) 7 Patutahi (2) 1, Poverty Bay 6 Waikohu 2, Tolaga Bay 6 Te Puia Hot Springs 2.

Overall points: Patutahi (1) 11, Tolaga Bay 10, Te Puia Hot Springs 10, Poverty Bay 10, Electrinet Park (1) 9, Park (2) 7, Waikohu 6, Patutahi (2) 1.
