Malcolm Trowell and Liam Pinn won a Kahutia Bowling Club tournament that brought senior and junior bowlers together in pairs of contrasting experience.

The Goodyear Auto-Cooper Tyres Optional Pairs Tournament paired juniors – those with up to eight years of bowls experience – with seniors over two days of bowls.

The top three pairs – Trowell and Liam Pinn, Leighton Shanks and Karen Pinn, and Dayvinia Mills and Geoff Pinn – all had 12 points for six wins, at two points for a win and one for a draw.

Placings were decided on differentials.

Trowell and Liam Pinn had a differential of +63 and 40 ends won, Shanks and Karen Pinn had +45 and 43, and Mills and Geoff Pinn had +43 and 39.

Fourth were Jeff Davis and Win Baker, 11 points (5 wins, 1 draw), +36 and 40; and fifth were July Hoepo and Kyle Pinn, 10 points (5 wins), +49 and 46.
