EASTLAND Kart Club’s second meeting of the season was a scorcher both on and off the track.

Lance Sutherland and Paul Farmer raced neck and neck in the Rotax class race, with Farmer managing to cross the line first.

The Swann family took first and second in the young guns division, with bragging rights going to Caleb Swann, who pipped brother Eli.

The youngsters put on a scorching display of racing in the junior restricted division. Terence Durrell came from out of town and won the class, but Taylah Gomm, Kendra Wilkie and Jeramiah Dekker put in good efforts.

Kelly Gough claimed victory for the second meeting in a row, taking out the women’s race motor class. She is a driver to watch.
