AS students took to various apparatuses and scorecards began to turn, judges scoured the room for pointed toes, straight arms and legs, a clean dismount, and most importantly, a smile.
Among the judging panel at today’s event was national gymnastic champion, Keely Phillips. The Gisborne-born gymnast, and former student ofWainui Beach, Ilminster Intermediate and Gisborne Girls’ High School said the annual competition is where it all started for her.
