“Both teams have been playing some good netball.
“They have faced higher-seeded teams to this point in the round and have had similar results.”
Ritana were seeded fifth and Girls’ High, sixth.
“Both teams will have targeted this game as one to win,” Beale said.
“The YMCA will be packed.”
Ritana go into tomorrow night’s game on the back of a highly competitive three-goal loss to higher-seeded Claydens Waikohu, while Girls’ High will still have the memory of a 44-goal thumping by Taste One High School Old Girls fresh in their minds.
Ritana were thumped themselves by HSOG the previous weekend, and by a similar scoreline.
But they may have an edge in the confidence department after Saturday in what should be a thriller.
“It’s good for the girls to play their peers,” Ritana coach Claire Campbell said.
“They are all friends off the court but on it they will all want to win and take the bragging rights.
“My girls are looking forward to it.”
Girls’ High coach Irene Takao said the match would be up her girls’ alley.
“I am expecting them to have a good run in the game tomorrow night,” she said.
“They will have learned from what happened against High School Old Girls on Saturday, and we are not going to let that match affect us heading into tomorrow night’s game.”
The match gets under way at 6pm.
At 7.30pm, Whangara Old Girls (1) will play Champers Horouta Gold.
“It was a draw the last time these two teams met,” Beale said.
“Both teams are coming off a loss, so they will want to make this a win tomorrow night.
“It will come down to the team who treasure the ball and make fewer mistakes.”
