“Despite a good fightback from Champers Horouta Gold, who outscored Lytton in the second and third quarters, Ritana deserved to win.”
Horouta were unable to keep the momentum going in the last spell.
“Ritana finished strongly to take the 11-goal win,” Hall said.
Ritana coach Claire Campbell said her girls played as a unit.
“They showed a lot of encouragement for one another and they were in the right head space for the match.”
Campbell said she started to see the result of work done around game structure.
“It was a pleasing performance.”
The win lifted Lytton to fifth spot on the table on six points, a point ahead of Gisborne Girls’ High School.
