RUGBY

Poverty Bay Rugby Football Union has released its schedule of first-class games for the season.

The Poverty Bay men’s schedule starts with a Town versus Country game at Rugby Park the week after the Civil Project Solutions premier grade finishes.

The Heartland team start their season the week after with home and away matches against Ngati Porou East Coast, the first being on September 19 at Rugby Park. They then travel the week after to play NPEC again away from home.

The last two games of the schedule will be played in Napier, starting with an October 3 game against Wairarapa Bush.

Their final game of the season is on October 24, when they play Wanganui at McLean Park before Hawke’s Bay take on Manawatu.

Poverty Bay v Ngati Porou East Coast at Rugby Park.
