THIS week is your last chance to register for early bird Weet-Bix TRYathlon entry packs. The TRYathlon is the biggest triathlon series for under 16s in the world. Gisborne became one of 14 new Zealand locations in 2013.

Since then it has grown, last year more than 1000 Gisborne region children ran, swim and biked their way to the finish line, each recieving a gold medal. This year’s event will take pace at Nelson Park on February 16.

Earlybird discounted registrations close this Friday at noon, after that the price jumps up. You can register as an individual, teams of two or a family of three to six.

Each age group completes different distances of each leg. To register your child go to try.weetbix.co.nz.

The Weet-Bix Tryathlon Foundation can also help with covering the cost of entry or equipment. To nominate a child for the foundation go to try.weetbix.co.nz/schools/weetbix-foundation.
