Gisborne Speedway Club has cancelled its next scheduled meeting on December 11 due to the restrictions imposed by the “traffic light” system around limits for gatherings.

The saloon car champion of champions event and the Bruce Ellmers Memorial for saloons were to be raced that night.

“At this stage we have no idea whether our December 19 meeting or any of the January meetings will even take place,” club secretary Kelly Simpson said.

“Under red light we cannot run.”
