The record-breaking, medal-winning performances by Gisborne swimmers continued at the national age group championships in Auckland last night.

Enterprise Cars Swim Team’s latest star, Tyler Finau, collected her sixth and seventh titles of the week.

Finau won the 12-and-13-year girls’ 400 metres individual medley and the 200m backstroke finals.

She was over 12 seconds clear of the field in the IM and her time of five minutes 9.77 seconds shattered her own Hawke’s Bay-Poverty Bay age-group record.

She won the 200m backstroke in 2:22.83.

Comet Swimming Club’s Imogen Amor-Bendall was second in the 12-13yr girls’ 100m butterfly.

Her time of 1:7.26 broke Finau’s HBPB 12yr girls’ age-group record.

Enterprise swimmer Emily Horne was seventh in the 14yr girls’ 100m butterfly.
