ONLY one marlin was caught in the Gisborne Tatapouri Sports Fishing Club’s Enterprise Motor Group Autosure Bay Bonanza but there were plenty of other fish.

There were 126 boats entered and 465 anglers making record numbers for the 33rd competition.

Sloppy conditions made for hard fishing for the three days of the competition, said club president Roger Faber.

The next major competition will be the Liquorland Marlin and Tuna Tournament on February 16 to 19.

Full results from the Bay BonanzaMarlin: Aaron Twigley, Striped Marlin 90.90, Slip Knot.
