Skill, teamwork, enthusiasm and desire drove Poverty Bay’s impressive performance at the Rawleigh Trophy under-13 girls’ development hockey tournament in Gisborne last week. PB finished runners-up to Wellington at the week-long event featuring 10 teams.

The home side had wins over Manawatu (4-0), Hawke’s Bay Futures (1-0), Horowhenua (2-1), Wairarapa (3-2) and Rangitikei (2-1), lost 1-0 to Wellington and drew 1-all with Hawke’s Bay.
