POVERTY Bay surged into the overall lead in Round 2 of the Oligoi Jug men’s interclub pennants at Patutahi on Saturday.
The defending champions trounced Electrinet Park (2) 10-2 to move ahead of Park (1) after those teams were tied at the top of the table. Park (1) drew
6-6 with Tolaga Bay while Patutahi beat Te Puia Springs 7-5.
PB head the standings on 21 points, followed by Park (1) on 17, Te Puia 14, Tolaga Bay nine, Patutahi eight and Park (2) three.
