SNOOKER

There was no orange dye thrown but plenty of colours on show at the Gisborne Masters handicap snooker tournament hosted at the Cossie Club over the holiday weekend. Te Atatu RSA’s Graham Ford (above) and Opotiki’s Winston Woofindin were among the 48 players vying for the title, but it was a case of locals ruling local tables.

Kasi Lelea (off a 15-handicap) beat Bill Raggett (25-handicap) two frames to nil in the championship final. Report, results to follow.
