Gisborne-born Thorn Parkes was in commanding form for Otago A in their two-day drawn cricket match with the New Zealand Development Men’s team at Lincoln yesterday.
Parkes thumped 100 retired off 110 balls in Otago A’s 429 for the loss of five wickets after the NZ Development side declared theirfirst innings at 390-5.
Parkes, at No.4 in the batting line-up, hit 12 fours and two sixes during his 182-minute knock.
He shared an unbeaten third wicket stand of 217 runs with Hunter Kindley who retired on 151 — including 20 fours and two sixes — off 167 balls.
