Honours were shared when Poverty Bay took on Bay of Plenty in their annual inter-district women’s challenge at Gisborne Park this week.

The visitors won the silver division 7½ to 4½ while the home side took the bronze honours 8½ to 3½.

The format was pairs nine-hole combined stableford in the morning and singles matchplay over 18 holes in the afternoon.

Park players took advantage of their local knowledge in both exchanges.

For the silver team, Karen Hay had a win and a half, as did Mihi Marino. Jo Kerr had two halves.
