Stefan Andreassen missed the final round but his 214 (72, 70, 72) was good enough for third while Dave Pirimona (73, 71, 71) and Willy Mortleman (69, 70, 76) were fourth-equal on 215.
Seventy-seven-year-old Tene Goldsmith, fresh from winning the men’s putting final of the Full Send Long Drive & Putting Comp the previous day, added another age-breaking round to his collection in winning round 5 with 76-9-67. He also won the division 1 Stableford with 41 points.
Brother Kit carded 86-17-69 to win the division 2 Stableford with 39 points.
John Pittar had his best score since November 2022 – 82-16-66, for 42 points – and was rewarded with the division 2 men’s Stableford honours last Thursday.
Alex Meban shot an impressive 2-over 74-7-67, for 41 points, to win the division 1 men’s Stableford on Sunday.
The veterans’ Tuesday Stableford has been attracting a good field, with over 30 turning up for the past two competitions.
Last week’s scoring was red-hot, Peter Goodwin winning with 42 points on countback from Jon Jenner, who shot 74-8-66.
Awapuni Links former head greenkeeper William Brown last weekend made an impact on the course where he is now working.
Brown had a round at Jack’s Points in Queenstown with good mate and former fellow Poverty Bay-East Coast representative Pete Kerekere.
Brown parred his opening three holes, then proceeded to birdie the next seven. He ended up shooting 4-under 68 and beat Kerekere 6 and 5.

Hamish Harris, Antonio Zame and Denise Johnston topped the pops as the Summer Cup series continued on Sunday.
Harris had 14 pars in winning the division 1 net with 75-8-67, while Zame’s 69 was the best in division 2 and Johnston returned 86-13-73 as top woman.

Hukanui Brown won the open men’s long drive final, while brother Eddie and Dwayne Russell qualified for the playoffs – Russell eliminating Eddie Brown in the quarter-finals, then falling to Hukanui Brown in the semis.
Jace Brown qualified top for the six-hole final of the men’s putting, won by Poverty Bay vet Tene Goldsmith.

Ritchie’s 86-22-64 was by far the round of the day and gave him a total of 134 for his two best nets over the three rounds.
Andrea Reeves’ 96-22-74 on Sunday for a 152 total earned her the women’s title.

The Park flag flew high at the Full Send Long Drive & Putting Comp at the Poverty Bay course on Friday, with five of the club’s big hitters featuring strongly in the open men’s division.
Dan Collier (with a best qualifying drive of 318.5m), Josh Adams (307.5m), Chris Fox (296.4m), Beau Toa (295.7m) and Matt Henwood (289.1m) made the nine-man field for the playoffs.
In the quarter-finals, Toa (291.6m) knocked out Fox (288.1m); Adams (283.3m) fell to eventual winner Hukanui Brown (290.1m); and Collier (299.5m) won a three-man eliminator that also featured Henwood (280.4m).
Collier (293.3m) defeated Toa (282.5m) in the semis, then lost to Brown in the final.
