Kaiaponi Farms Waikanae will have 34 involved in the club titles, Dawson Building Midway will have 20 and Riversun Wainui, 17.
In the masters’ competition, Wainui will have nine, and Waikanae and Midway, one each.
“We have started to change the game this year with live streaming of the nationals finals package,” Emmett said.
“Gisborne company Royster Production, who did that work at the eastern regional championships in Gisborne, will provide the coverage.”
The livestream will run from 12.30pm to 3.30pm on Sunday week.
Emmett said they were keeping a watch on the weather and swell forecasts for the Mount for the end of next week.
“It’s still 50/50 over which side of the country a tropical depression will go. Early next week we should get a firm indication of what the weather will do.”
He said organisers had plans in place to mitigate the effects of any weather, and they had given themselves the best chance of running a great event.
“Our focus will be on the safety of and experience for our competitors and event volunteers,” Emmett said.
