ALEX Nanai and Te Rina Hawkins pocketed the top honours at the Poverty Bay A and C grade singles championships.
Nanai won the A-grade title while Hawkins joined a select group of women to clinch the C-grade title.
The A grade champs featured 12 players, with Rip Morgan, Phil Thompson,Alex Nanai and Tony Cleaver making the best-of-three-frames semifinals.
Nanai disposed of Cleaver 2-0 and Morgan ousted Thompson 2-1. Nanai beat Thompson 2-0 in the final. Six players contested the C grade champs.
Tiny Thompson, Alan Scholes, Dave Greig and Hawkins qualified for the semis, Thompson beat Scholes 2-1 while Hawkins knocked out Greig 2-0 and went on to beat Thompson 2-1.
