FOUR Gisborne swimmers earned medals at the Aquaknights Junior Festival held in Hamilton last weekend.

Comet Swim Club's Celia Willoughby won silver in the 10-and-under 50-metre freestyle, while Enterprise Swim Club had three medallists across several divisions.

Morgan Tamatea, 11, won gold in her age division's 50m butterfly and 50m free kick.

Harriet Morunga, 12, took gold in the 50m backstroke, silver in the 200m backstroke and 50m freestyle and bronze in the 50m butterfly.

Taylor Newman, 11, won silver in the 100m backstroke.

The Aquaknights regional zone includes Hawke's Bay, Poverty Bay, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki.
