Comet’s Angus Blair, who recently joined the Tairawhiti Rising Legends programme at Sport Gisborne Tairawhiti, has just come back from a week in Wellington at National Age Groups Swimming Championships. “Angus had a great week with four medals and an extremely close fourth (.02 sec),” said Comet head coach Glenn Hamblyn. “He was first in the 16 year boys 200 butterfly, second in the 100 freestyle, third in the 800 freestyle, and fourth in the 200 freestyle. It was very exciting for Comet to have such a good performance on the National stage, especially across the range of freestyle distances.”
