GISBORNE TQ midget racers Dylan and Ryan MacGregor acquitted themselves well at the New Zealand championships on the Meeanee track in Hawke’s Bay at the weekend.
The pair came through qualifying on Friday night to make the 24-car, three-race finals series on Saturday night.
“Dylan finished fifth and Ryan 15th,with only seconds between the TQs in the final in what was very tight racing,” said Gisborne Speedway Club president Grant MacGregor.
Gisborne ministock and stockcar drivers also raced at the meeting.
“Hamish Moore and Bailey Curtis drove well in the minstocks. In the stockcars, James Kirk and Willy McClune raced well,” Grant MacGregor said.
