LYTTON High School have made the plate quarterfinals in the Lower North Island A Grade secondary schools netball tournament in Wellington.

They faced Hutt Valley High this morning and a win would see them advance to the 17th-20th position semifinal this afternoon. Lytton went in this year seeded 31st. Yesterday they beat Sacred Heart New Plymouth 36-23, beat Kapiti College 37-20 and beat Tawa 30-19.

Gisborne Girls’ High are in the bottom eight of the C Grade Division 1 final round of the Upper North Island secondary schools tournament at North Harbour in Auckland.

They will play off for 9th to 16th place out of 32 teams in the grade. Today they faced Bethlehem and Tokoroa.

GGHS won the D Grade of the upper North Island tournament in 2018 and gained promotion to C Grade for this year.

Campion College have made the 9th-16th place playoffs out of 24 teams also in the D Grade section of the same tournament.

Today they faced Fairfield and Papakura.

Yesterday Girls’ High beat Paeroa 39-24, but lost to Bay of Islands 24-22, and Opotiki 34-17.

Campion beat Birkenhead 29-24 and Glenfield College 40-21, but lost to Elim Christian School 40-26.
