Lytton High School made it through to the bowl final of the Condor Sevens open girls’ grade in Auckland at the weekend.

They lost the playoff for ninth place overall to Tauranga Girls’ College, 26-5.

Lytton had four wins and a loss in the lead-up to their final game at the secondary schools rugby sevens tournament.

They lost against Motueka High School 21-17, beat Queen Margaret College 19-7, beat Avondale College 33-14 and had wins against Taupo nui a Tia College (19-0) and New Plymouth Girls’ High School (15-12).

Lytton’s under-15 girls’ team followed up their two wins and a loss on Day 1 with two losses and a win on Day 2.

They lost 24-10 against Southern Cross Campus and 40-7 against Feilding High School on Friday, the beat Cambridge High School 17-15.

Hamilton Boys’ High School and Christchurch Girls’ High School won the open grades.

Palmerston North school Manukura won the u15 girls’ title and Auckland’s St Peter’s College the u15 boys’ title.
