Lily best all-round on tramp

Lily Arnold has won Gisborne Trampoline Club's trophy for best all-round trampolinist.

She received the club's top award at the end-of-year display and prizegiving.

Club head coach Doug Callahan said Lily gave 100 percent to her training, worked hard on passing all her coaching exams and would soon be at elementary coaching level.

She also won the coveted best all-round tumbling trophy.

“Lily relates well to the children in the groups she coaches,” Callahan said.

“At the same time, in her competitive tumbling class, she is working on increasing her degree of difficulty and her twisting skill level.”

Her success competing at International level and winning national titles meant she qualified for the Australian National Championships to be held at the Gold Coast Leisure Centre from May 9 to 23.

“Lily has set herself high goals and she takes them head-on,” Callahan said.

“Her big goal is to represent New Zealand at the World Trampoline Championships to be held in the Utilita Arena Birmingham, in the UK, from November 9 to 19 next year.”
