Juniors step into breach

Junior players among the spectators stepped into the breach for teams short of players for the twilight badminton doubles at the Badminton Centre last Thursday.

Others also filled in to enable the matches to go ahead.

The shortage arose after some players unable to be present did not find replacements.

Some excellent matches were played in Round 3 of the competition, which was played in muggy conditions. Many players were exhausted after four matches.

Knightmares and The Knights had quite a tussle. Unfortunately a senior member of one of the teams injured himself.
