Matthew Ney, brother of Josiah and Caleb, was first Year 8 boy to finish, in 24:53. Angus Baker was second, in 26:10, and Angus Blair was third, in 27:04.
Year 8 girl Tui Ruifrok completed the course in 30:02.
Bella Fitzharris was fastest overall in the Year 7 race, finishing the course in 28:34. Second girl home was Jordis Anderson, 29:51, and third was Thora Pocock, 33:56.
First Year 7 boy was Maxwell Phillips, in 28:54. Second boy home was Ty Houthuijzen, in 32:09, and third was Callum Hawkins, in 32:18.
In the teams races, Gisborne Boys’ High School Diamonds (swimmer Jack Simperingham, cyclist Jack McLaughlin and runner Ben Bristow) won the senior race, in 42:356. Gisborne Girls’ High School 4 (Georgie Pitkethley, Christy Tate and Maddie Wilson) were second, in 48:25. GBHS 1 (Keane Williams, Jesse Rambay and Denning Lea) were third, in 59:39.
GGHS 2 (Sasha Fergus, Jessie Kapene and Jessikah Fearnley) won the junior teams race, in 51:57. Lytton Girls (Samantha Durston, Rubi Perano and Skye Briggs) were second, in 54:57.
WOK One (Erica Butt, Helen Evans and Bridie Morrison) were first Year 7 team home, in 30:18. WOK Two (Natalie Johnson, Kate Roche and Amy Pardoe) were second, in 32:19. WOK Three (Brodie Aporo, Alex Burgess and Brodie Aporo) were third, in 34:03.
