Sunshine Brewing Wainui Salty Dogs had
some challenges coming into this game.
Brothers and strikers Marcel and Henri Campbell were out with injury, while their centreback cousin Andre Campbell was also out of action. Stalwart defender Jeff Allen was away, while central midfielder Rick Kitto and striker Ricky Boyd were carrying injuries. Mark Langdon saved a penalty, though.
Thistle's Dan Robinson and Matt Adams scored midway through the first half and Ricky Boyd set up Roberto Sthory for Wainui to halve the deficit just before halftime. Salty Dogs man of the match Barry McCarthy equalised in the closing stages but another goal each from Adams and Robinson gave Thistle the win and fourth place heading to the divisional split.
