YMP and Waikohu will contest the 2023 Poverty Bay Premier club rugby grand final after contrasting semifinal wins at the weekend.

East Coast Farm Vets YMP — the reigning champions — made no contest of their Civil Project Solutions semifinal clash with Larsawn Ngatapa, powering to a 67-11 victory at Barry Park.

GT Shearing Waikohu fought out a tough encounter with Enterprise Cars OBM before getting across the line 38-26.

Charteris Choppers Wairoa Athletic have the chance of making it three Senior 1 titles in a row. They brushed aside Pango Productions Uawa 40-15 in their semifinal in Wairoa.

Down the road, top qualifiers Tapuae advanced to the Lew Patterson Cup final with a 15-12 win over Nuhaka V8s.
