THE Lincoln family fishing off Awanui had a great prize haul in the Gisborne Tatapouri Sports Fishing Club Bay Bonanza.

Five family members cleaned up all the tarakihi prize money, with 11-year-old Elly Lincoln taking first prize and a club record with a 4.2kg tarakihi.

Her mother Sarah Lincoln won the skipjack section with a 3.1kg tuna in the three-day competition, sponsored by Enterprise Cars AutoSure NZ.

There was a total of $65,000 in prizes and money up for grabs in the contest held over the long weekend.

The $20k lucky angler prize went to Craig Sutton.

Club junior Jimmy Moore, fishing off his father Pete’s boat Scrap Metal won $5k for landing the heaviest marlin in the competition.
