Tahuna Irwin was the star of Tuesday night play in Turanganui a Kiwa Darts Association’s winter competition.

Playing for Falcons against Pumas, Irwin had 41 tons for the night. They included two 180s, one of them a start, and he had 12 leg wins without a pairs partner.

Irwin held the previous record — 31 — for the number of tons thrown in one night of the Turanganui a Kiwa Darts Association’s Tuesday winter league

Teammate Harley Ngarangione had a 132 finish.

Pumas’ Mikey Evans had a 180, but it was not enough to stop Falcons running away with a 13-2 victory.

Te Kuzzyz’ Marcus Leach had most tons — 16 — in their match against new team GMC, while GMC fill-in Tyson Eyles had 13.

Teratahi Campbell, a new player for GMC, defeated Levi Tamihana in their singles match 3-2, but the final score was 12-3 to Te Kuzzyz.

Rhinos’ Ani Tangira had two 180s and teammate Mike Price had one.

Irie Eyles had the most tons for Rhinos — 13.

Tigers’ Dudley Reeves had 14 tons, the most for his team, while teammate Erik Pu had a 180.

Rhinos won the match 9-6.

The match between Stallions and Ruahine Black was close.

Ruahine Black dominated the pairs but Mihi Awatere was their only singles winner.

Stallions were down by five in the pairs, but won five singles matches.

Nevertheless, Ruahine Black won the match 8-7.

Assassins defeated Ruahine Green 11-4.

Assassins junior player Ihaka Kaio-Wynyard had 16 tons, the most in the match, while brother Tekotahi Kaio had a 180. Assassins fill-in Boyso Awatere had a 150 finish.

Ruahine Green’s John Ahuriri had nine tons, the most in his team.

Pythons teammates Lou Laulau and junior player Shannan Eyles both had four tons in their team’s 8-6 victory over Hummingbirds.

Hummingbirds’ Bobbi Eyles scored five tons for her team.
