KARTING by Rockin’ Robin

Iremonger did it again.

Seth Iremonger showed he is the master of feature races when he won the feature at the end of Eastland Kart Club’s meeting on Sunday.

It took his tally of feature wins for the season to three.

Seth Hall had his best meeting yet, coming home second in the feature, and Harley Davis came from near the back of the 14-kart field to take third place.

This was the club’s fourth points meeting of the season and last for 2020.

Onlookers were concerned when a huge crash occurred in the young guns class. Fortunately, both drivers were unhurt.

The club appreciates the help it gets from Logan Irvine.

Ten-year-old Makauri School pupil Logan keeps the radios charged for the club and is in a flag box for all the meetings . . . a great effort.

Without people like Logan, there would not be a club.

In the pro class/shifters, Cole Rosie had two wins and Barry Irvine had one.

Harley Davis had two second placings and Barry Irvine had one.

Rosie, Irvine and Davis each had one third placing.

In the rookies class, Conrad Gooch had three wins and Nixon Gooch had three second placings.

In the young guns class, Vinzent MacGregor was all class as he won all three races.

Hamish Worsnop had three second placings, while Ella Nicholson had two thirds and Brodie Gooch had one.

In the junior KTs, Luca Vita, Koby Gooch and Zavier Iremonger each had a win, a second and a third.

Aimee Whiteman picked up two wins and a second in the women’s class. Sharyn Rogers got the other win, as well as a second placing.

Nicola Iremonger had a second and a third, while Lyn Lyle and Tessa Irvine each had a third placing.

In the rotax class, Paul Farmer had three wins, while Roger Moss had three seconds and Ben Briant, three thirds.

Wins in the KT heavies went to Wayvern Vause (two) and Aaron Whiteman (one).

Buck Rogers got two seconds and Vause, one. Dion Lund had two thirds and Aaron White, one.

In the KT lights, Alex Rosie, Toby White and Jake Callaghan had a win each.

Second placings went to Seth Hall, Spring Thomson and Seth Iremonger, while third placings went to Jake Callaghan, Nathan Williams and Seth Hall.

It was a great day’s racing in hot conditions. Plenty of water had to be put on the track all day long.

Eastland Kart Club members wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year, and hope readers check out the club racing in 2021.
