MATTHEW Watts shot 80 yesterday to go along with his 80, 81 on Monday. Watts’ teammate Regan Hindmarsh led the individual standings after excellent rounds of 72, 70 but fell away yesterday with 85 to finish fourth individual overall.
Hamilton won the teams’ title on 678 (best three of four
scores each round), an average score of just over 75.
Palmerston North Boys’ High were second on 690 and Tauranga Boys’ College third on 694.
Gisborne were sixth on 721. The other GBHS team members were DJ Baty and Jacob Kingi. GBHS team manager Mark Jefferson said the course was superbly set up and he thanked the course staff and Poverty Bay club manager Dave Keown for their efforts.
