RIP Morgan and Dave Middlemiss ruled the tables in the Poverty Bay A and C grade championships held at the Cossie Club.

Morgan defeated Campbell McFarlane 2-1 in the best-of-three-frames A grade final.

The champion eliminated John Warren in the semifinals while McFarlane beat Tony Cleaver.

Middlemiss defeated Alexios Kallavaris 2-1 in the C grade final.

In the semifinals, Middlemiss beat Dave Grigg and Kallavraris knocked out Karl Carpendale.

Eight players competed in the A grade and six in the C grade.

Qualifying was over three frames in two sections for each grade.

The action continues on the Cossie tables tomorrow in the return leg of the RSA v Cossie interclub.

The Cossie’s grade champion are also to be decided within the next four weeks.

The B grade champs are on Saturday, September 23, and the A and C grade champs are on Saturday, October 7.
