Iain Gillies Trophy regained

Mangapapa School yesterday reclaimed the Iain Gillies Trophy they lost to Wainui Beach School last year.

Mangapapa led 4-0, Wainui fought back to 4-2 and Mangapapa scored again late to make it 5-2.

Scorers for Mangapapa were Kaedyn O’Donnell-Hawkins (2), Rohan Evison, Leo Starck and Charlie Holdsworth. It’s been a big couple of days for Mangapapa. Today, as the Mangapapa Hurricanes, they completed a 100 percent win record in their seven games of the eight-team Gisborne Mini Football 9v9 A Grade competition at Watson Park and received the trophy for the A Grade title.
