Meeting 5 of Eastland Kart Club’s Sunday racing was the hottest since the club was formed, with the temperature reaching 33 degrees. It was particularly trying for the drivers dressed in their race gear.
A non-points-scoring meeting, this was the last hit-out for drivers bofore the club championships on February
6 and 7.
About 80 entries have been received for the champs so far, and they are still coming in.
Entries from Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga and Pukehina are already in, with some of the best dirt karters in the North Island likely to be in the mix.
