Poverty Bay club hockey’s grand finals day produced some thrilling action on the LJ Hooker Turf on Saturday.

YMP celebrated a victory double.

In the A-Grade men’s final, YMP A beat THC 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out after the teams finished normal time locked at 2-2.

YMP A women followed that up by beating GMC Green 2-1 in the their A-Grade final.

LOB Masters defeated Gisborne Boys’ High School 2-1 in the B-Grade men’s final.

A Nichole Brown double earned GMC Kowhai a 2-0 win over YMP B in the B-Grade women’s final.

In the A-Grade women’s playoff for third (on Friday), Ben Holden Fencing Ngatapa beat JNL Paikea 2-0.

After their game ended 1-1, Te Aowera won a penalty shoot-out 2-0 to beat GMC Gold in the B-Grade women’s playoff (on Friday) for third.
