Gisborne Girls’ High are into the semifinals of the Jenny Hair Cup secondary schoolgirls hockey touranment in Carterton after a 3-1 win against Marlborough Girls’ College yesterday.

They were to face Wellington Girls’ College in today’s semifinals.

Campion College dropped into the playoffs for fifth to eighth at the North Island mixed hockey tournament in Whanganui.

Campion lost 2-0 to Hamilton Christian School in the quarterfinals yesterday and were to face Henderson High today.

Gisborne Boys’ High School fell 1-0 to St Peter’s College at the Woolaston Trophy in Levin yesterday.

It put them into the fifth-to-eight playoffs where they were to face Waiuku College today.

The combined Gisborne Girls’ High-Campion side defeated Tauhara College Taupo 2-0 at the Rosemary O’Brien Cup tournament in Gisborne yesterday.

They then drew 0-0 with Solway College, which put them into a playoff for fifth and sixth against Tauhara today.
