GYMNASTICS

GYMNASTS from Gisborne, Napier and Hastings took part in a competition hosted by Gisborne Gymnastics Club at the club’s gym last Saturday.

In Step 1, Sage Thorpe was first on beam, with a mark of 13.2, fourth on uneven bars and fifth on both vault and floor, and was third overall.

Daphne Morris came in third on vault, and fourth on beam.

Alexi O'Brien won third place on vault.

Isabelle Evans came in third on beam.

The Step 1 girls’ team of Sage Thorpe, Daphne Morris, Alexi O'Brien and Isabelle Evans took the fourth-place team spot.

In Step 2, India Gill was first on uneven bars, with a score of 13.75, and was third on floor, fourth on vault and fifth on beam, with an overall second placing.

Zeva Kinnaird came in first on floor, with a 13.45, and was second on vault and fourth on beam for an overall second placing.

Lea O'Reilly took first place on uneven bars with a 14, and was third on beam, and finished fourth overall.

Monroe Brouwer was second on uneven bars, and fifth overall.

Hollie Walsh came in third on both vault and uneven bars.

Alai Sims took 1st at vault with a score of 14, and a 4th place on floor.

The Step 2 team of India Gill, Monroe Brouwer, and Alia Sims took third place, while the team of Zeva Kinnaird, Lea O'Reilly and Hollie Walsh were fourth.

In Step 3, Amarah Cameron was first on floor, with a 14.3 score, and fifth on both uneven bars and beam. She was fourth overall.

Georgiana Elmer took fifth place on uneven bars.

Lizelle Duckworth placed fourth on floor.

Ahenata Cotter-Luke placed second on beam.

The Step 3 team of Amarah Cameron, Georgiana Elmer, Lizelle Duckworth and Ahenata Cotter-Luke were third overall.

In Step 4, Aria Thorpe took fifth place on both uneven bars and beam.

Capria Tamatea was third on uneven bars, fourth on floor, and fifth on beam. She was placed second overall.

Olivia Gardiner came in third on beam and was fourth on vault and uneven bars. She was third overall.

Hinerauri Cotter-Luke was second on both vault and beam, and third on floor. She was fourth overall.

Miriam Cornfeld was fourth on beam, and was fifth overall.

The Step 4 team of Capria Tamatea, Olivia Gardiner and Miriam Cornfeld placed third overall, while the team of Aria Thorpe, Hinerauri Cotter-Luke, and Celena Bull were fourth overall.
