Eastland Kart Club members held their club championships late last month in fine weather.

A good-sized crowd enjoyed watching some great racing.

Drivers had a front, middle and back start, and the competitor scoring most points was the winner.

Only club members could enter the championship.

In the juniors, Pyper Irvine won two races and had a third placing.

Noah Starr got his first win at last, as well as a second and a third placing.

Nixen Gooch had two second placings and a third.

Tim De La Haye won all three races in the young guns class.

Brodie Gooch had a second and two thirds, Logan Irvine had a second and a third, and Hamish Worsnop picked up a second placing.

The Rotax class turned on the best racing of the day.

Shane Gray had a win and two seconds, Luca Vita got a win, a second and a third, and Kelvin Bull picked up a win and two thirds. Sean Gooch had a third and two fourths.

In the KT heavy class, Dion Lund had two wins and a second placing.

Fred Winterton had the other win, as well as two second placings.

Ben Adcock had two third placings.

Luca Vita had a win and a second, Daniel Taylor had a win and two thirds, and Mike Vita had one second placing.

In the women’s class, Robyn De La Haye had two wins and a second, Hayley De La Haye had a win and two thirds, Tessa Irvine picked up a second and a third, and Lyn Lyle had a second placing.

In the open class, Vinzent MacGregor had a great day, picking up two wins and a second, while Harley Davis had a win and two seconds, and Robert De La Haye had three third placings.

Luca Vita won the 10-lap feature at the end of the meeting. His dad Mike came home in second place, Roger Moss was third, Seth Hall fourth, Kelvin Bull fifth and Shane Gray sixth.

The fastest laptime of the day went to Shane Gray — 19.371 seconds.

Juniors:  Pyper Irvine 1, Noah Starr 2,    Nixen Gooch 3.

Young guns: Tim De La Haye 1, Brodie Gooch 2, Logan Irvine 3.

KT heavies: Dion Lund 1, Fred Winterton 2, Ben Adcock 3.

KT lights: Seth Hall 1, Daniel Taylor 2, Luca Vita 3.

Women: Robyn De La Haye 1, Hayley De La Haye 2,  Tessa Irvine 3.

Rotax: Shane Gray (Te Aroha) 1, Luca Vita 2; Kelvin Bull (Tauranga) 3.

Open: Vinzent MacGregor 1,Harley Davis 2, Robert De La Haye 3.
