A GRANDFATHER-grandson double marked the penultimate golfing weekend for 2017.
Allan Nairne won the men’s stableford on Saturday with 88-20-68, for 40 poitns.
Grandson Brad Reynolds did the same on Sunday with 79-10-69, for 39 points.
Leo Lexmond broke the ton for the first time in 39 rounds in winning the veteran men’s par last Tuesday.
Lexmond shot 96-35-61 to finish 9-up on the card, ending a sub-100 drought dating back to January.

PETE Stewart is signing off 2017 in golfing style.
The man known to many as “Legend” hit new heights on Sunday with a career-best round.
His 2-over 74-11-63 featured three birdies and his 45 points easily won him the division 1 men’s stableford — five points clear of the field.
Anaru Reedy will end the year the lowest-handicapped player in the district.
Consecutive 68s on Friday and Sunday mean Reedy’s handicap today dropped from 0.0 to +0.7.
The next lowest player is Pete Kerekere on 0.8, followed by William Brown on 1.3.
Reedy’s Friday effort was flawless — four birdies in a front nine of 32, followed by nine consecutive pars. It won him the Friday crew jackpot for having two or more stableford points on every hole.
The Sunday 68 featured five birdies and another 32 on the front half. The only blemish was a three-putt bogey-5 on the 10th.
Reedy, who led the Poverty Bay-East Coast masters team at this year’s Freyberg Masters interprovincial, has broken par 18 times out of the 69 rounds he has played at Poverty Bay this year.
That includes seven rounds in the 60s highlighted by a 7-under 65 on October 22, which featured six birdies and two eagle-2s.
He has had just three rounds in the 80s, the most recent of those an 81 in August.
In his past 10 rounds, he has had 35 birdies and he has killed Poverty Bay’s par-5s over the year, playing them nearly 40-under the card.
The fifth has been his most profitable. He has played it 28-under while he has also picked up a heap of birdies on the first.
The par-5 12th has been a different story. He has played it nearly 10-over the card, reflecting its low stroke rating, including 1 off the blue tees,
Eighteen 2s have appeared on Reedy’s Poverty Bay cards over the year — four of those on par-4s.
